![]() I'm like 30 minutes in now so who knows how long it'll last, but it was either this, the deep, deep compressed air cleaning, or both that got me from dead to home screen. So, this morning I opened everything up, took the motherboard out, went out and got neoprene washers (used 5/32" thick ones from Home Depot) and a duster can, blasted the heck out of everything per what I've read elsewhere, installed the neoprene washers as you said and tightened them all the way, put everything back together, plugged it in and it booted right up. ![]() Just bought a PS4 off eBay that "wouldn't turn on" - gave it a brief vacuuming, little "knock" on my knee and put it on its side and was able to get it from "on then off" to blue light of death and also able to get it into Safe Mode where I initialized it with the most current OS (after it installed it rebooted and went back to "on then off"). Just did this and it worked, I'm assuming is not a permanent fix (since it's probably bad solder connections in AGU) but works for now.
